Did you know that Eric Young had been quietly rehired by Triple H in 2022? Not many did, 'cause ol' EY never appeared on telly before leaving all over again and returning to IMPACT Wrestling (now TNA). Young has since revealed that he didn't want to work for Vince McMahon, so he decided to part ways with WWE.

Fair enough.

Being honest, and without sounding cruel, Eric was never the sort of veteran who felt like a neat fit for Raw or SmackDown anyway. NXT, sure, but the main roster? Nah, it wasn't ever going to work out. At least he got a tidy payoff for another six months or so before leading the charge on TNA's revival.
