Every Wrestling Rookie Of The Year: Where Are They Now?

22. 2001: El Hombre Sin Nombre

Essa Rios Lita
CMLL

More than one lucha practitioner taken on the nom de plume of 'El Hombre Sin Nombre': the man with no name.

One was the man who'd become known as Rayman - they care little about copyrights in that corner of the wrestling world - and he dazzled enough folks to earn the award at the turn of the century. Scanning his Cagematch record, however, he is a journeyman on the Mexican indies in 2023. He never lived up to his early potential - potential that was apparently thwarted by his unpopular father, Rayo De Jalisco Jr., who insisted they were booked as a package deal (to very little interest).
