It could be argued that the Hell in a Cell match is the greatest example of "sports entertainment" ever: a perfect blend of storyline, gimmick, and spectacle. By contrast, Bret Hart and Steve Austin's submission match at WrestleMania is arguably WWE's best wrasslin' match, emphasizing brawling, realistic violence, and intense in-ring storytelling. Jim Cornette, the bane of sports entertainment, has stated that this is his favorite WWE match, and for good reason. Hart and Austin, the two best workers of their time, took each other to the limit and absolutely stole the show in an otherwise dire WrestleMania. From a pure match standpoint, it is the equal to 'Taker and Shawn's Hell in a Cell

However, what gives Austin and Bret the edge is that in this 5 star match, WWE history would be changed forever. Coming into the contest, Bret was the face, and Austin was the heel. Desperate to destroy Austin, Bret abandoned his principles and absolutely brutalized Austin, who would not surrender, even with blood rushing down his face. After the match ended via referee stoppage, Bret wasn't done, continuing to beat down Austin, thus completing the double turn. Austin was now the top face in the company, and nothing would ever be the same again.

Obviously, go back and re-watch all these classics, but pay special attention to this cream of the crop.
