4. John Cena Vs Edge Vs Triple H (2006)

As the best variant of the multi-man incarnations between these three, the 2006 triple threat between WWE Champion John Cena, Triple H and Edge was an energetic and dynamic thriller set the table for the summer months and adequately put a bow on the post-WrestleMania scuffles between 'The Game' and 'The Champ'.

Having shockingly disposed of Triple H via tapout in front of an infamously vocal Chicago crowd, Cena proved himself a worthy champion yet again with a pinfall over Hunter in a lively conclusion to the battle.

Edge had fought his way back into title contention with a memorable WrestleMania victory of his own over Mick Foley. Liberally taking advantage of the No Disqualification stipulation, the three leathered one another with chairs, the steel steps and even a ringside microphone.

Triple H bled buckets, ramping up the drama in the closing stages after waffling Edge virtually out of the match with a horrendous chair shot. His fleeting return resulted in the sledgehammer-wielding 'Game' suffering a spear in a sensational ending sequence in which the exhausted 'Rated-R Superstar' was knocked back to the floor allowing Cena to narrowly pin Hunter with a jackknife roll-up.

Livid with another defeat, Triple H attacked both men (and the referee) in the post-match, drawing thunderous cheers for his foreshadowing crotch chop taunts as the show went off the air.
