A star-making performance for a man that seemed worthy of being made a star at the time, Matt Hardy flitted magnificently between experienced veteran and overmatched underdog against a Jack Swagger that seemed every bit as good as Oklahoma talent scout Jim Ross had ever forecasted. Neither had their best years in the aftermath, but the tertiary silver strap hadn't ever meant more.
