Courtesy of the gruelling touring schedule adopted by most Japanese wrestling outfits, Akira Tozawa had already notched 149 matches throughout 2016 before going full-time with WWE in November, but his best days were behind him. By the time he jetted off to chase the American dream, Akira was mostly relegated to working multi-man tags in his home promotion, Dragon Gate, with tales of his battles opposite PAC and Shingo Takagi now a distant memory.

Still palling about with Otis, the Alpha Academy duo appears set to challenge Bron Breakker and Austin Theory for the World Tag-Team Championships at SummerSlam following Maxxine Dupri's recent defection, though the bout is yet to be confirmed as of this writing. It's a storyline that shows just how far The Vision has fallen in the wake of back-to-back ill-timed injuries to Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed, and undesired new additions in Logan Paul, Theory and now Maxxine.
In saying that, Akira and Otis are actually rather well-liked, so should the match go ahead, they'll likely lose anyway before Triple H promises that good things come to those who wait.
