Every WWE Elimination Chamber Match Ranked Worst To Best
20. 2011 WWE Championship #1 Contender
Heading into the Elimination Chamber, the major problem holding it back was the fact that there was little doubt John Cena would be winning and headlining WrestleMania. CM Punk was four months away from the infamous pipebomb and his meteoric rise, Randy Orton and Sheamus were far from their recent career peaks, and John Morrison and R-Truth were merely entertaining fodder in the match.
On top of the predictability of the match, nothing takes away from the heat of battle in the Elimination Chamber like the sound of an email from the Anonymous Raw General Manager. The GM stepped in to re-insert CM Punk into the match after a sneak attack and elimination from Orton. While theoretically the right thing to do, this further highlighted what an absolute dumpster fire the entire Anonymous GM was.
The high spots and solid in-ring action that took place keep this as a solid affair, but the predictability and addition of Michael Cole reading emails keep it from reaching its true potential.
