Finally, at the third time of asking, we have the Randy Orton vs. Triple H match you’ve probably been waiting for. This time, there were no injury woes to worry about, and the action took place on an appropriate stage in the main event of No Mercy 2007.

Some of the more memorable spots included Orton nailing Triple H with the RKO onto an unfolded chair, and Triple H in turn sending Orton flying through a table after countering another finisher attempt.

Oh, and given that this was a Triple H match, of course there was plenty of blood.

On top of all that, this was Orton’s second match of the night and Triple H’s third. The Game had earlier beaten Umaga, as well as Orton himself to win the WWE Championship, making for one of the shortest reigns in the title’s history, and a rather bittersweet evening indeed.
