He got himself an unexpected title run and a t-shirt out of it at least, but Sheamus' 2015 WWE Championship run is remembered more for how it failed yet again to try and get Roman Reigns over rather than elevating 'The Celtic Warrior'.

After Seth Rollins was injured in October 2015, the road ahead looked clear for 'The Big Dog', but WWE saw a hotshot run and a WrestleMania main event as the real move. In stepped Sheamus, who broke Reigns' heart with his post-Survivor Series tournament cash-in and inadvertently caused the supposed top babyface to end up as a confetti-strewn meme.
