After a year of convoluted booking and forced narratives - as well as a plethora of injuries to a number of WWE's top stars - fans were left with reality of Roman Reigns taking on then-WWE Champion Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania 32.
With the predictable build-up, the inevitable outcome, and the added complication that fan-favourite Daniel Bryan had been forced into early retirement, Roman Reigns had become a symbol of negativity, and one that fans openly - and very audibly - rejected as Raw went off the air.
