Every WWE Raw Opening Theme Song Ranked From Worst To Best

8. 'Burn It To The Ground' By Nickelback

Used: 2009 – 2012

There's a great irony when it comes to 'Burn It To The Ground'. The theme that saw the red brand into a new decade wasn't all that well-received back when it first debuted in 2009, but in hindsight it's now looked upon as one of the last truly great Raw openings.

Could nostalgia play a part in that 180? It's hard to say. On one hand, the catchy alt-metal track does sound like it matches the vibe that PG Era WWE programming was going for but on the other, it wasn't always like that in 2009. And given that it pales in comparison to the edgy sounds of Papa Roach's '... To Be Loved' and was also a far cry from the louder sounds of the Attitude Era, it was always doomed to fail.

And yet, it's actually a solid choice of intro that walked the line between edgy and safe pretty well - and, in a way, that's exactly what WWE programming did in 2009 (and, frustratingly, still does).
