Every WWE Royal Rumble's Best Performer

Given how fantastic the 1992 Royal Rumble match was, it's unfathomable to see that the talent roster assembled for the '93 event was so shockingly poor.

Whilst you had a star-making win for Yokozuna, Bob Backlund's hour-long return, a great rivalry between Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect, and names like Randy Savage and The Undertaker involved, the Rumble was clogged up by the likes of Carlos Colon, Max Moon, Damien Demento, Skinner, Repo Man, Tenryu, and, yes, Virgil. The star power was massively lacking, particularly once Flair and Perfect were eliminated and also down to Savage not arriving until #30.

It really is hard to pick a standout star of the 1993 Royal Rumble. One trail of thought is that Backlund's impressive hour-long stay deserves recognition, but he really, really didn't do all that much during this stint bar sit in the corners of the ring. As such, Yokozuna just about gets the nod here as it was the '93 Rumble win that cemented him as a main event player and set him on the path to take Bret Hart's WWF Championship at WrestleMania IX.
