Every WWE Royal Rumble's Best Performer

2002 €“ Steve Austin

If I was being totally biased, the star of the 2002 Royal Rumble would be Mr. Perfect. Seeing Curt Hennig as a surprise entrant literally had me grinning like a fat kid presented with cake. Another candidate for the MVP here would be Triple H. After all, he€™d made his big comeback from his quad injury and went on to win the Royal Rumble ahead of becoming the Undisputed Champion at WrestleMania XVIII. But forget The Game and let€™s take the rose-tinted Perfect-cheering specs off, for the real star of the 2002 Rumble has to be the Texas Rattlesnake, €œStone Cold€ Steve Austin. This would sadly be Austin€™s last Rumble match, but he made it count as he stood out from the pack before his untimely elimination at the hands of Kurt Angle. Throughout the match, Austin was full of his usual fire and aggression, throwing out 7 superstars during a 26-minute stay. Even his elimination couldn€™t stop him playing a part in the match, with Stone Cold returning to the ring to give chair shots to the remaining Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Mr. Perfect.
