Every WWE Royal Rumble's Best Performer

2003 €“ Chris Jericho

In terms of Royal Rumble moments, my personal all-time favourite is Chris Jericho€™s elimination of Shawn Michaels at the start of the 2003 Rumble match. It was absolutely brilliant and took everybody by surprise. Jericho would be the MVP of the 2003 match, starting at #2 and staying in the match for nearly 40 minutes before a revenge attack from HBK would lead to him getting thrown over the top rope by Test. In addition to his early assault on Michaels, there were so many great near-eliminations for Jericho, not to mention a great moment where Y2J was still pissed off after a Tommy Dreamer kendo stick shot left him busted open. Chris Jericho€™s Rumble match career is certainly a mixed bag, but the Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah was never used better than during the 2003 match. And whilst he may not have won the Rumble, the fans were the real winners as this led to a stunning match between Jericho and Michaels at that year€™s WrestleMania.
