Every WWE Royal Rumble's Best Performer

While it's tempting to give the '91 nod to Bushwaker Luke for his flawless, seamless entrance-cum-elimination, the key man to this Rumble match was arguably Rick Martel. Why is that only arguable? Well, that's because nobody really stood out all that much here.

You have to remember, these were the years when Hulkamania was running wild, brother, meaning that everything was so often geared towards Hulk Hogan, a man who wasn't exactly great in the ring and someone who would vacuum up any fan affection that was going to another performer.

Granted, Hogan won this Royal Rumble, making him a two-time winner, but his contribution was minimal despite the eliminations he racked up. So if Hulk's not getting the nod, the only other option is 'The Model' Rick Martel or possibly even The Undertaker for the impressive presence he had in his Rumble debut. But it's Martel who just shades it for his 53-minute performance, before he was eliminated by Davey Boy Smith.

You'd have thought more could've been done with the Model after this event, yet he continued to tread water as a lower-midcard heel for the rest of his WWF tenure.
