Every WWE Royal Rumble 'Final Four' - From Worst To Best
3. 1998 - Dude Love, Faarooq, The Rock & Steve Austin
Not a bad assortment by any stretch. Mick Foley was back in the match for the third time, having already been eliminated as Cactus Jack and Mankind. The result was a clash of two former teams: Austin and the Dude had briefly been tag champs in 97, while Rock and Faarooq forged an uneasy alliance based on their Nation of Domination history. Austin, naturally, betrayed Foley as soon as possible to raucous cheers, while Rocky turned on his former mentor to a chorus of boos. Austin and Rock always had phenomenal chemistry, and that's evident here in the early stages of their storied rivalry. Indeed, Rock and Austin had been feuding over the Intercontinental Championship leading up to the Rumble, and if nothing else, this proved that Stone Cold was going to make it to the top of the mountain first. Rock ate a pair of Stunners and got tossed, but the two would cross paths many more times, including the next year's WrestleMania main event.
