11. Torrie Wilson Vs. Dawn Marie Wilson (2003)

An all-too-familiar case of WWE using female performers to calm audiences down before matches they really want the crowd to react to, Torrie Wilson and Dawn Marie were in a no-win situation as they matched their limited in-ring talents against one another whilst supposedly paying off a blood feud.

Infamous amongst fans, the angle behind this 'Stepmother/Stepdaughter' match had led to it taking place in the shadow of Al Wilson's (storyline) death, which was caused during vigorous honeymoon coitus with the devious Dawn Marie.

As daft as the Al/Dawn/Torrie antics were, it created a problem at bell-time, as there was no way that months of pantomime segments could possibly be paid off in an actual wrestling match.

Despite making waves as valets in their early years in the industry, Dawn and Torrie were simply untalented professional wrestlers, and were just not capable of bringing the necessary credibility to an in-ring clash when required.

Fortunately, the match has largely been forgotten, partly because it couldn't possibly live up to the storyline that preceded it, but mainly because it was followed by an even worse Scott Steiner vs. Triple H match that critics couldn't wait to feast on at the show's conclusion.
