8. Sable Vs Luna Vachon (1999)

Over-delivering on low expectations, this decent-for-the-era women's strap match at 1999's event marked Sable's final appearance as a spunky babyface before her monstrously successful Playboy cover, heel turn and rapid departure from the company that spring.

Tangling with Luna Vachon, Sable was selling a back injury throughout following an assault from her volatile opponent on the pre-show episode of Sunday Night Heat, but was able to gain an advantage by using the strap to viciously whip Luna and launch her to the floor with the leather accoutrement.

Reigniting the rivalry that helped establish Sable as an in-ring competitor at WrestleMania XIV, the two attacked one another with vigour in a match centred around Shane McMahon's determination to take the title from the 'disrespectful' Sable by using Luna as a corporate hired gun.

Fought under the 'touch all four turnbuckles' rule, the two were tied at three apiece, until botched interference from 'Shane-O-Mac' allowed Sable's stalker (the soon-to-be-named Tori) to rush from the crowd and strike Vachon, allowing Sable to score victory.

The run-in would foreshadow Sable's upcoming turn and abysmal WrestleMania follow up with her 'crazed' fan.
