Dolph Ziggler certainly has the looks and acting chops to play a heroic, bada** cop, but Countdown saddles him with a generic cop thriller set-up, and feels cheap and rushed in every fiber of its being.

That said, it's hard not to laugh at a subplot which sees Ziggler heading to a WWE show in order to track down a lead, resulting in hilariously unnecessary glimpses of numerous superstars, including a brief exchange backstage between Ziggler and Rusev.

Kane is fairly well-cast as a senior cop and the gorgeous Katharine Isabelle provides some light relief as an Internal Affairs officer, but when it comes to the script and direction, this one's a boring dud.
