Making the best of bad situation for a division still on life support, Kelly Kelly's in-ring limitations were at least masked by her remarkable popularity as an overmatched underdog against the vastly superior 'Glamazon'.

Alongside 'Divas of Doom' partner Natalya, Beth Phoenix had torn through her 'competition', so much so that the remainder of the division were drafted in one segment earlier to dance behind singer CeeLo Green as he breathlessly squawked out parts of his hit 'F**k You', as if to relay the message WWE were sending to their females in general.

Though totally by accident, it turned out to be a scheduling triumph for the company. Suddenly starved for actual action, the fans were hugely invested the giant-killing battle. Phoenix had heated the match up by delivering an uncompromising sh*t-kicking to Kelly on Raw a fortnight earlier, and largely dominated her inferior opponent for the bulk of their surprisingly enjoyable six minute clash.

A largely cathartic beating for many that felt the likes of Beth and certain other workhorses had been overlooked, fans in the crowd relished the Phoenix' dominance, but shared the challenger's surprise when Kelly rolled through a Glam Slam attempt to retain the title.

To the champion's credit, she sold the fortune of the moment by racing to frantically reclaim her title belt and get as far away from her opponent as possible.
