Every WWE WrestleMania 37 Celebrity Guest Ranked Worst To Best
3. Ash Costello
Seeing singers take part in WWE programming can often be a recipe for disaster, as they come along to distract from the actual show and often end up being rejected by the fans. However, there have been many occasions where using an established celebrity as part of an in-ring entrance can make the wrestler they accompany look like a million bucks. While Wale might have failed this for Big E, Ash Costello undoubtedly achieved it for Rhea Ripley.
Bringing in the lead singer of New Year's Day made perfect sense, not only because she sings the lyrics for Ripley's entrance song but also because her overt punkish energy is the ideal celebrity counterpart for the Australian star. In a similar vein to how Poppy works so well alongside Io Shirai in NXT, Costello and Ripley blend perfectly.
Costello knocked it out of the park with her performance, as there was no lip-synching in sight, and her vocals were excellent. As Rhea walked to the ring, you could get an effortless sense of WrestleMania status, and a large portion of that was down to Ash Costello.
In the land of wrestling, celebrities often tend to put wrestlers down, so it's always amazing when it goes the opposite way.
