20. Terri Runnels Vs The Kat (WrestleMania 16)

Flanked by The Fabulous Moolah and Mae Young respectively, Terri Runnels and The Kat were given the unenviable task of following one of the most influential matches in WrestleMania history.

Coming just minutes after Edge, Christian, The Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz etched themselves into WWE lore with an outstanding triangle ladder match, Terri and Kat were sent out as little more than eye candy to allow the crowd time to recharge from such an emotive affair.

Fought under women's battle royal rules, the winner was the first person to throw their opponent out of the ring, but WWE didn't even want to book a two-minute 'catfight' without a screwy finish.

The match was short on both action and decency, as the two first competed over referee Val Venis' affections with awkward kisses, before Mae Young distracted 'The Big Valbowski' by attempting to expose her breasts accidentally forcing him to miss Kat eliminating Terri.

Repeating the spot again with Mae herself kissing Val, Fabulous Moolah pulled Kat to the floor and threw Terri back in to steal the win for the heels.

It was a cheap finish to a cheap contest.
