The tape libraries from two former independent promotions could be on their way to the WWE Network by year's end.

This is according to WrestleVotes, who tweeted the following on Tuesday:-

EVOLVE has ceased operations after being bought out by WWE a few weeks ago. Promoter Gabe Sapolsky had entered his group into a working relationship with the industry leaders several years ago, leading to him scoring a behind-the-scenes role with NXT. The entity ran its last show on 1 March and suffered massive financial losses after the cancellation of its WrestleMania 36 weekend events due to the ongoing global health crisis, paving the way for the WWE takeover, ending the company's 11-year run.

wXw, meanwhile, is still operational in Germany, but hasn't held a live event since 8 March. They plan on returning to action on 29 August and also have an existing working relationship with WWE, making it impossible to consider them a true independent anymore.

Footage from other promotions has been a long-rumoured WWE Network addition stretching back several years. Companies like PROGRESS and ICW have been mentioned in the past, though WWE has never uploaded the libraries.
