Joey Janela is still holding out hopes of bagging a WWE contract someday. The former AEW man has called that his "dream" scenario, and refuses to believe it's mission impossible in 2024.

The 'Bad Boy' told MuscleMan Malcolm that he still loves independent wrestling, but would be lying if he said working for WWE wasn't something that motivates him. Despite putting over AEW and Tony Khan during the interview, Joey added that All Elite obviously wasn't around when he was growing up watching wrestling.

WWE was his childhood, and then he eventually got into New Japan as a teen. That's another bucket list goal for Janela: Wrestle a match in the famous Tokyo Dome. He's 34 now, but still has a lot he'd like to tick off before hanging up the boots.

A gig with WWE would be really special to him though. In a funny moment, after saying he's "more mature" now and "in pretty good condition", Janela said a WWE run would either be great or "a complete disaster". At least he has a sense of humour about it, eh?

Joey currently plies his trade in GCW and other indy feds.
