Lex Luger remains "hopeful" that WWE top brass will ring him up and say he's going into the company's Hall Of Fame before this year's WrestleMania 40. The ex-WWE and WCW star admitted he gets "a little buzz" every time 'Mania season rolls around, because he wonders if this will be his time to shine.

The former World Champ told listeners tuning into his podcast that he's "flattered and honoured" whenever old peers or wrestling fans bring up the Hall Of Fame topic and shake their heads in disbelief that he hasn't been inducted. That means a lot to him personally.

Luger's line on the HOF in various interviews has always been simple. He previously said he understands why he hasn't been inducted, but the man obviously fancies bagging a spot sometime soon. There's been a lot of chatter amongst fans for months that 2024 will finally be Lex's time.

Lex pointed out that he's been asked to appear on peripheral programming like The Bump recently. He isn't sure if that means anything in the grand scheme of things, but he hopes WWE inducts him pre-'Mania 40.
