Could Vince McMahon be set to launch a sensational bid to buy back WWE? That's certainly McMahon's plan, if one former WWE employee is to be believed.

Speaking on the latest episode of his Coach & Bro show (via TJR Wrestling), Jonathan Coachman said that, while he doesn't know if McMahon will "100%" buy WWE, Coach knows that Vince wants to.

As Coachman put it, after noting that McMahon still hasn't sold his TKO stock:

"I’ve been, by the way, going viral. You've probably seen I’ve been quoted everywhere when I talked about Vince re-buying [WWE]. I’ve been quoted everywhere. And the one thing I’ve yet to be wrong about, anything. And so now, all of a sudden I’m getting all of these websites, because I have educated views, and I also have people that are tipping me off. Now, do I know 100% he’s going to buy [WWE]? I know he wants to."

On the topic of Vince McMahon being back in WWE, Coach's co-host Vince Russo speculated that, with McMahon knowing the legal issues that were coming his way, it may be that he agreed a deal ahead of time with Ari Emmanuel for TKO to serve as a "placeholder". In Russo's opinion, it could be that TKO was to take over WWE, making whatever money they could from the company, then McMahon would buy back WWE in three years for a pre-agreed price.

Russo pointed out that this would be the motivation for TKO pushing to maximise revenue right now, because they realise they only have a relatively short window of time before handing the company back to Vince McMahon. The former WWF and WCW head writer also pointed out that a McMahon return is why people like Bruce Prichard and Michael Hayes - long-time McMahon allies - are still employed by WWE.

Could Vince McMahon Really Buy WWE?

Wanting to buy something and actually buying something are two very different things. From your writer's perspective, I'd love to buy that lavish £1 million cottage in the idyllic hills of glorious North Wales. Does that mean I'll be buying that property? Not on my WhatCulture salary, that's for sure...

Now, Vince McMahon obviously has immense wealth, but even with that wealth, the value of WWE is up by billions since TKO took over the company. And of course, even if Vince could miraculously somehow afford to buy WWE, why would TKO want to sell? That's before even discussing the ongoing legal issues McMahon is facing.

McMahon is currently facing allegations of sexual misconduct, trafficking, and emotional and physical abuse by former WWE employee Janel Grant. That lawsuit was filed in January 2024, which in turn quickly led to Vince McMahon resigning in disgrace from WWE for a second time. McMahon had previously returned to the company in order to facilitate the sale of WWE to Endeavor and form TKO with the UFC.
