Ex-WWE Star Calls Vince McMahon A "Mark" For Goldberg's Look

Goldberg's WWE return came as no surprise to this former company stalwart.

Bully Ray isn't shocked that WWE boss Vince McMahon decided to bring 54-year old Bill Goldberg back for another run heading into SummerSlam.

The WWE Hall Of Famer told listeners on 'Busted Open Radio' that he's always thought McMahon was a "mark" for Goldberg's look - that hasn't changed despite the ex-WCW titan growing older. In fact, if anything, Bully believes Vince is impressed that an "older gentleman" like Bill still looks the way he does.

Ray also put Goldberg over as looking "phenomenal", and suggested that McMahon's reliance on Goldberg wouldn't change until the guy could no longer pump iron or maintain his impressive physique. That's when Bully reckons WWE will stop bringing Goldberg back for sporadic main event runs.

Bill returned on the latest episode of Raw to challenge Bobby Lashley for the WWE Title. It looks like that match, despite Lashley later turning it down on social media, is a lock for SummerSlam on August 21.

Some fans have expressed concerns about Goldberg's comeback; they think that someone else deserves the title spotlight, not an aging part-timer.

Do you agree with Bully? Or, are you happy to see Goldberg back?
