Ex-WWE Star Claims Edge "Politicked For Months" About THIS Angle

One bold WWE angle could've looked very different had Edge got his way.

Seth Rollins Blood Bath

Former WWE star Gangrel says Edge "politicked for two and a half/three months" to sell the company on that "blood bath" angle with Seth Rollins last year.

The one-time Brood leader also revealed that his old pal wanted to bring him in for a cameo appearance before SummerSlam 2021 - that, Gangrel told the 'Battleground Podcast', didn't go down well with WWE creative "for whatever reason". Edge had a tough time selling the corporate juggernaut on red blood too.

FOX stepped in and said that the "blood" Edge poured on Rollins had to be black instead. It was more like mud than blood in the end, which Gangrel found funny.

He described the 'Rated-R Superstar' as "an amazing human being" and said he "would have been honoured and grateful" to be involved in a mini-Brood comeback. It was never going to happen (because WWE said no), but he's thankful that Edge even bothered to ask in the first place.

Gangrel knows that it would've been a painful, long and drawn out process to even get the green light on that blood angle in the first place. Edge got his wish in the end. Sort of.
