Ex-WWE Star Refuses To Rule Out Dramatic Return
Wrestling fans could see this 'what if' WWE story have a happy ending.
Ken Shamrock is refusing to rule out a dramatic return to WWE, but he thinks he might be "past" a full-time in-ring run.
The former UFC man-turned-pro wrestler told NBC Sports Boston's 'The Ten Count' that he'd strongly consider signing on as a manager or something like that. Of course, Shamrock has a lot of his plate these days generally, so he'd have to make sure a WWE comeback didn't get in the way of that.
Ken has always been one of the company's biggest 'what if' stories. He debuted amidst much fanfare in 1997 (refereeing the timeless Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin bout at WrestleMania 13), and carved a niche for himself before suddenly disappearing in late-1999.
Shamrock reportedly fancied returning to MMA for a while, but he'd never come back to WWE. Since then, he's only had a few brief flirtations with wrestling via TNA/IMPACT Wrestling and New Japan. That WWE return has been left on the cutting room floor, basically.
Could it happen in 2023? Ken "won't say no" for definite. Don't bank on him even wrestling at this stage in his life though.
