Ex-WWE Star Says His In-Ring Days Are Over

You probably won't be seeing this former WWE man wrestle ever again...

You'll probably never see former WWE star Hornswoggle wrestle for another "major company" again.

The ex-WWE man revealed that his in-ring days are all but over following a second failed back surgery during a recent interview with ITR. Instead, Swoggle hopes to do some coaching and teach fledgling talent. He's also totally unwilling to "talk poorly" of WWE in any way.

On that, Hornswoggle says he wouldn't want to "burn a bridge", but also wouldn't see the point in being critical of a promotion that let him live out his wrestling-related dreams for 10 amazing years. He has nothing to be bitter about, basically.

Active wrestling, WWE or otherwise, does look like it's a thing of the past for Finlay's kayfabe boy though. He'd be physically incapable of delivering during matches, especially at the top level needed to appear on WWE or AEW TV, and doesn't think it'd be smart to put his body through that anyway.

Obviously, nobody was expecting Vince McMahon/Triple H or Tony Khan to hire Swoggle as a wrestler in 2023, but he could've been useful for a cameo performance here or there. Even that seems unlikely now.
