Former WWE star Alberto El Patron posted a picture of himself staring at the WWE Championship on Twitter. El Patron, who worked for the company as Alberto Del Rio between 2009-2014 and again between 2015-2016, included a caption that simply said, "One more time".

Surely not.

The 44-year old currently faces charges of sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping. If convicted, El Patron could face a life sentence in prison. WWE are unlikely to go there again with Alberto - Paige has also spoken out about the abuse she suffered during her controversial relationship with the man.

It's certainly bold of Patron to start talking about launching a WWE comeback at this stage, and even more startling that he plans to target the promotions top prize as soon as humanly possible.

As Del Rio, Alberto previously held the WWE Title twice. His first reign lasted 35 days; after cashing in MITB to win the belt from CM Punk at SummerSlam 2011, Del Rio dropped it to John Cena at Night Of Champions. Then, he re-captured the title from Cena at Hell In A Cell before losing it to Punk at Survivor Series 49 nights later.
