Ex-WWE Wrestler Nash Carter Apologises For Hitler Photo

The former MSK man was released by WWE on 6 April, ending his NXT run.

Former WWE wrestler Nash Carter has issued an apology for the photograph that led to his release from the promotion on 6 April 2022.

Carter, who has now reverted to his pre-WWE ring name Zachary Wentz, posted his statement on Twitter on Thursday. Claiming that the photograph (which saw him performing a Nazi salute with his moustache shaved to match Adolf Hitler's) was taken in 2015, the 28-year-old stated that he has taken stock of his behaviour and educated himself on what the imagery in the photography represents.

The offending photograph was made public by Wentz's former partner, Kimber Lee, as part of a series of tweets alleging that the then-WWE wrestler had abused her during their relationship. WWE moved to release the former Carter from his contract the following day, with the Hitler photograph, not the allegations, reportedly the reason.

Wentz had been with WWE since signing alongside long-time tag team partner Wes Lee, who remains active on the NXT brand to date. Their union stretches back to their early days teaming as part of the Scarlet and Graves faction in CZW in the mid-2010s.
