6. Batista's Last Match

Critics can say what they want about WrestleMania 35's 'No Holds Barred' epic (and they have), but Batista is damn proud of what he and Triple H achieved. At one point near the end, big Dave slid some steel ring steps into the ring and paused to look around just briefly. That was when his unannounced retirement started to sink in.

It was like 'The Animal' was soaking up the atmosphere and enjoying one final breath before working the near 25-minute bout's conclusion. He'd go on to lose and then post on social media that he couldn't think of a more fitting way to end his career than against his old mentor-turned-rival Triple H.

He was right.

Nobody watching knew he was considering retirement at the time. Some probably even thought Batista had a few more big matches left in in the tank before calling it a day. He believed otherwise – Dave doesn't need the stress and strain of big bumps taking a toll on his body.
