WWE has informed 7-time Women's Champion Charlotte Flair that she'll be main eventing WrestleMania 35, according to Jon Fisher of the Oh, You Didn't Know Wrestling Show.
There has been a great deal of discussion & debate over who should headline 'Mania next year, but Fisher stated:-
"A good source told me within the last week or so that despite the booking of the TLC match with Charlotte, Asuka, and Becky Lynch before the Charlotte/Ronda Rousey match at Survivor Series that Charlotte was told that she’d be in the main event of WrestleMania."
In what would be the inaugural women's main event in WrestleMania history, it's anticipated that Ronda Rousey will feature, but fans are still unsure as to who she'll face. Ronda vs. Charlotte was proposed in the immediate aftermath of WrestleMania 34, but since Becky Lynch's sensational reinvention over the summer it was thought she could take Flair's spot.
A triple threat match would appear to be the most obvious solution although how WWE sets that up remains to be seen, the Royal Rumble will no doubt be key.
Regardless, the first-ever WrestleMania main evented by women appears to be on the cards, and it's richly deserved.
