Exposing The Absolute Dumbest Criticism Of AEW

Brodie Lee The Dark Order
AEW

Think of how insanely stupid that is to brag about, as if the success or failure of a mainstream corporation has anything to do with any of us, anyway. You sound like you're from Shelbyville.

But is there a certain hypocrisy on the part of those countering the argument?

NXT can't sign any talent in 2020 without many fans ridiculing the recruitment strategy. It's just PWG with less soul, its detractors say. Where's the imagination? This is the worst capitalism, etc.

It's different. NXT does not need to sign new talent. NXT has too much talent rotting inside the walls of the Performance Center. Remember Timothy Thatcher? He had more buzz in EVOLVE, which is saying something. NXT's approach is more cynical and less risky, but fundamentally, it's the same. It's all the same.

Maybe this is all warped by Vince McMahon's vast influence over everything. He has formed this idea of himself as a creator of sorts. He has said the word "creation" as much as the words "quite", "frankly", "things", "of", "that" and "nature". But the truth is that Vince McMahon was only ever a wrestling promoter. It was the only thing he was ever great at. He didn't create sh*t. The wrestlers get themselves over.

This "Oh, Luke Harper, now where have I seen him before!" criticism isn't just dumb.
