Again, it all ties together.
The end of The Nightmare Family's run as AEW Trios Champions comes at the hands of Team Taz. At the time of writing this article, Cody Rhodes is embroiled in a heated story with Taz's men, all stemming from Powerhouse Hobbs siding with Team Taz as opposed to 'The American Nightmare'. The sheer joy that erupted when you saw 'The Human Suplex Machine' cinch in a Tazmission for the first time in years was electric.
What makes this far better is that you could even replace Brian Cage, for example, with Taz's son Hook. While Hook isn't an official member of his father's stable right now, he's been mentioned as part of the story, currently undergoing training at The Nightmare Family's training facility. Having him betray his trainers to officially join his father in his mission just makes sense under the circumstances.
A trio featuring Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Hook, with Taz and Brian Cage watching their back, sounds imposing by name alone. Put the AEW Trios Championships around them after tearing apart Hook's trainers - in particular, Dustin Rhodes - and you've got yourselves the most intimidating group in AEW.
