Fastlane 2021: Identity Of Mystery WWE 24/7 Title Winner Revealed

"Joseph Average" won the WWE 24/7 Title last night. Here's his true identity...

Rik Bugez
WWE

NXT's Rik Bugez was the man behind the "Joseph Average" character that appeared on last night's WWE Fastlane 2021 pay-pay-view.

Clad in a red cardigan, white shirt, and glasses, Bugez featured backstage, trying to sell Old Spice to anyone who would listen. As Joseph Average, he was accosted by Akira Tozawa, who was looking for R-Truth and the 24/7 Championship.

Truth turned out to be hiding within the pile of Old Spice. When it collapsed and Truth landed on the floor, Bugez dropped down and pinned the 24/7 kingpin, taking the belt for himself.

Bugez's reign with the belt was the 140th in its history. It lasted a matter of seconds, however, as Truth quickly pinned him to regain the strap, completing the wacky advertisement segment.

Bugez, 33, hasn't featured on NXT television since 6 February 2019, when he popped Full Sail University with his wild charisma and hair metal-influenced ring entrance. Though he went viral, Bugez wasn't able to parlay this into additional appearances, as he has been limited to a Worlds Collide 2019 battle royal appearance and a few cameos in early-COVID Performance Center Raw and SmackDown crowds since then.

Here's hoping this massive mountain of beef gets more onscreen opportunities soon. He's too charismatic not to.
