AOP (Akam & Rezar), Murphy, and Seth Rollins Vs. Kevin Owens, Samoa Joe, and The Viking Raiders (Erik & Ivar)

Samoa Joe debuted alongside the biggest names on the main roster, had shots at both World Championships, and eventually captured the United States Championship. Unfortunately, this impressive run was halted by a broken thumb.

After a stint on commentary, he returned from injury aligning with Kevin Owens. This four-on-four match was Joe’s final in-ring showing. Joe was both brutal and agile, hitting an impressive Enzuigiri, quick and seamless reversals, and a fearless dive to the outside. It was clear: Joe was back.

Joe looked powerful and was involved in the match finish. After reversing Rollins’ stomp into a Coquina Clutch, Joe looked set to take the win for his team. Murphy broke the hold, but soon found himself locked in it. Joe was isolated and vulnerable to the Stomp. Murphy crawled on top for the three count but ‘The Samoan Submission Machine’ looked strong in defeat.

He was set to take his place back at the top of the card, but was soon re-injured, not cleared to compete, and fell afoul of WWE’s Wellness Policy. He saw out his days behind the commentary desk.
