FinJuice Taking Impact Tag Team Championships To New Japan?
Are FinJuice eyeing up a title vs. title showdown with The Guerrillas of Destiny?
Having now dethroned The Good Brothers of the Impact Wrestling World Tag Team Championships, the FinJuice pairing of David Finlay and Juice Robinson are reportedly set to take the titles over to New Japan Pro Wrestling.
The news comes by way of Inside The Ropes' Gary Cassidy, who dropped a screenshot from one of his sources on Twitter last evening. For what it's worth, the source also dropped the news that Rich Swann became the Unified World Champion, which he did.
How the Impact titles play into New Japan remains to be seen, as it's currently unclear whether or not the titles will actually be defended there. There are certainly a great deal of teams Finlay and Robinson could tangle with, though; a showdown with current IWGP Tag Team Champions, The Guerrillas of Destiny catches this writer's eye.
Furthermore, it could also bring Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson back to New Japan for the first time since 2016 in pursuit of the championships. That would be sure to catch headlines, particularly considering their ongoing story in All Elite Wrestling with the reformed Bullet Club angle.
Safe to say, The Forbidden Door is doing wonders for the reputation of Impact Wrestling.
