First AEW TNT Championship Tournament Wrestlers & Matches Revealed

Four wrestlers down, four more to go...

It looks like All Elite Wrestling is pulling out (some of) the big guns for their newly-announced TNT Championship tournament.

The promotion confirmed the first half of the bracket on last night's episode of Dark, with Shawn Spears, Cody, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin the names involved.

Spears will wrestle Cody in a rematch of their All Out pay-per-view bout while Darby and Sammy clash at the other end, having recently locked horns at Revolution. Cody has already felled all three of these men since AEW came into existence.

The remaining matches and participants will be announced on tonight's episode of Dynamite. It looks like the promotion is going for bigger names than many would have guessed, so it'll be interesting to see who, exactly, they go with on the opposite side of the bracket.

It is expected that the tournament will commence on the 8 April episode of Dynamite, concluding with the crowning of the first TNT Champion at Double Or Nothing in Las Vegas, Nevada on 23 May. That final destination seems optimistic given the current global crisis - but that's a problem for AEW, not the viewership, to solve.
