Forgotten WWE Star Coming Out Of Retirement After 5 Years

One largely-forgotten former WWE star is about to wrestle for the first time in 5 years.

Ex-WWE star Maven is about to work his first pro wrestling match in five years.

The season one Tough Enough winner will wrestle on Independent Superstars of Professional Wrestling's 19 November card in New Jersey. ISPW's main event is a 20-man Rumble, so maybe Maven will dropkick someone cosplaying The Undertaker out of the match?

Only joking.

Seriously though, this is legitimately Maven's first taste of the wrestling sphere since 2016. Before that, and another few shots in 2015, the former WWE rookie didn't work a lick following some indy dates back in 2007 - some may also remember his short-lived 2006 run in TNA.

Maven's final WWE match was a six-man tag (with The Heart Throbs vs. Val Venis, The Hurricane and Rosey) on the 26 June 2005 edition of Sunday Night Heat. That bout only aired on the international version of Heat, so there's a fair chance barely anybody really saw it.

It seemed like Maven was destined for a solid run post-Tough Enough, but things never really worked out for the guy. Now, in 2021, he's launching a comeback. Bring on this entrance theme, please.
