With plentiful expiring WWE contracts in the news lately, one other name you can now add to the list is Booker T.

This news comes directly from the man himself, with the two-time WWE Hall of Famer speaking during an appearance at River City Convention (as picked up on by WrestlingNews.co) where he noted how his "contract should be coming up here soon".

In terms of what his future holds, Booker seems keen to remain with the market leader, saying how wrestling is about having fun, that NXT is a hot product where the talent is having fun, and how he wants to continue to be a part of that fun.

Nowadays part of the NXT commentary team alongside Vic Joseph, Book has been in that role since October 2022 when WWE had a shake-up of its announce teams.

A hugely decorated veteran of the business, Booker T's in-ring career saw him, amongst other things, become a six-time WCW World Champion, six-time WCW TV Champion, one-time WCW United States Champion, 11-time WCW Tag Team Champion, one-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, one-time WWE Intercontinental Champion, three-time WWE United States Champion, three-time WWE Tag Team Champion, two-time WWE Hardcore Champion, and the 2006 King of the Ring.

Away from WWE, the 59-year-old operates his Reality of Wrestling training school/promotion, with Roxanne Perez, Sammy Guevara, and Bryan Keith some of those to have trained in ROW.
