In some alarming news, the former Alberto Del Rio has been arrested for sexually assaulting and injuring a woman.

This news comes courtesy of FOX San Antonio, with it reported that the real-life Jose A. Rodriguez was arrested over an incident that happened on May 3. The unnamed victim contacted the police on May 4, and the multiple-time World Champion was taken into custody yesterday (May 9) at approximately 11am. A $5,000 bond was set for bail.

Adding further shocking detail to this story, FOX San Antonio explained how, “the victim told police they walked downstairs and he forced her to wear a dress and dance for him. She told him she didn’t want to, and he said not to cry because, if she did, he would take her son and drop him in the middle of the road somewhere.”

Rodriguez was booked into the Bexar County jail, with him charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of simple assault.

In recent years, Rodriguez was involved in an extremely public and toxic relationship with Paige, saw his La Cantinita restaurant close in November 2017 after being in business for less than a year, and was tapped out by Tito Ortiz this past December in an MMA contest.

Over the past month or two, the Mexican grappler has talked up how he’s been in talks over returning to WWE later this year. While WWE sources questioned the validity of these claims, this latest incident only makes it further unlikely that WWE would be wanting to reignite their working relationship with Alberto Del Rio.
