Fans have been posting pictures and video footage of ex-WWE star Isla Dawn's AEW debut during the promotion's double helping of Dynamite and Collision in Glasgow, Scotland on Wednesday night.

Dawn appeared as a surprise guest for a match vs. Megan Bayne on the Collision portion of the taping. For the record, it was Bayne who emerged victorious from the bout, but Isla received a healthy welcome in her hometown. Fans in Glasgow were very pleased to see the former WWE Women's Tag-Team Champion.

It already feels like a lifetime ago since Dawn and then-partner Alba Fyre snagged the Women's Tag belts back on Clash At The Castle inside the same venue in June 2024. That win prompted a monster pop from the locals - Isla's reaction wasn't quite as mega here, but she can still be pleased with how happy fans were when she walked through the curtain.

This marked Dawn's second match since being released by WWE on 8 February. Previously, she'd beaten Aleah James on an independent card in Manchester, England on 3 August. It remains to be seen if this AEW bow will be part of something bigger or is simply a one off for the Scot.

Isla enjoyed a 7 year run with WWE before being cut loose from the roster. Since then, Fyre has gone on to join Chelsea Green's Secret Hervice and form a tag-team with another fellow Scottish star: Piper Niven.
