Former WWE Champion SHOCKINGLY Appears At TNA Emergence

An ex-WWE World Champ surprised fans right at the end of TNA's latest PPV.

JBL stunned the live crowd during Friday's TNA Emergence pay-per-view. The WWE legend strolled out following a 60-minute 'Iron Man' bout between Nic Nemeth and Josh Alexander, whispered something in Nemeth's ear and then left.

Nemeth had just beaten Alexander 3-2 to retain his TNA World Title, but there's a bigger question at play now: Where does Layfield fit into his story, and what can fans expect if the pair unite on-screen going forwards?

JBL's surprise debut in the company has people on social media talking, at least.

Of course, Layfield also aligned with Nemeth during AAA's TripleMania 32 earlier this month. It remains to be seen if this will continue to happen in other promotions both work for, or if it'll become a TNA package exclusively. Either way, it's kinda fun that JBL is popping up in random places at this point in his career.

He hasn't been a WWE regular since briefly managing Baron Corbin between October 2022-February 2023. Before that, Layfield had become best-known as an announcer after retiring from active wrestling. There's always a chance he'll do some more of that in TNA too.
