WWE Hall Of Famer Road Dogg has admitted that he showed incredible "jealously" towards The Rock right at the start of Dwayne Johnson's career.

Roadie also told listeners on his podcast that he'd repeatedly take "potshots" at Rocky behind the scenes. Then, as if that "verbal abuse" wasn't enough, the D-Generation X man would take some liberties inside the ring to try and hammer home his point physically.

Looking back, Dogg is pretty ashamed of his behaviour and can see he was just jealous of The Rock's "total package" skillset. He went out of his way to try and make his peer's life difficult, and that's something he has consistently apologised to Johnson for since.

Clearly, Rocky came out on the winning end here.

That's something Road Dogg is happy to admit in 2022 - he believed he and The Rock were equals back in the late-1990s, but can see now that definitely wasn't the case. They were worlds apart "as intellectual properties" and "in the eyes of the consumer".

Roadie previously raised the ire of many by dismissing Bret Hart's in-ring skills via his pod.
