Having been released by WWE last November, the former Tegan Nox made a surprise appearance on last night's AEW Collision.

Nowadays back to her Nixon Newell name, the Welsh wrestler was joined by Miranda Alize as they interrupted a backstage interview segment with Anna Jay and Tay Melo.

Newell said hello to Tay - the pair having spent time together in NXT - before she and Alize introduced themselves, noting how they want to test themselves where the best wrestle: AEW. Melo said that she and Anna love a challenge, and that was that for the segment. While no match has been announced as of yet, it seems that Newell & Alize vs. Tay-Jay could well take place as soon as this coming week's Dynamite or Collision.

For those not too familiar with Miranda Alize, she's previously worked for Ring of Honor, has five AEW Dark matches to her name, and competed against Nixon Newell a couple of times for Hurricane Pro earlier this year.

As for Nixon, she returned to the ring back in March, initially working several UK independent dates before returning to the US scene. The former WCPW Women's Champion is still only 30 years of age, despite now being a 12-year veteran of the business. While several significant injuries hindered her WWE career, the Girl with the Shiniest Wizard has plenty to offer any women's division on the planet. And with AEW looking to beef up its women's tag team division with the introduction of the AEW Women's Tag Team Titles, the pairing of Nixon Newell and Miranda Alize could bring plenty to the table should last night's Collision appearance lead to something more permanent.
