Former WWE Divas Champion Layla says "the door is closed" on any potential return.

During an interview with 'Ring The Belle', the one-time 'LayCool' member said she only has fond memories of her time with the company but could never go back. In fact, she's adamant that it'll never happen, and is "okay with that".

Layla left WWE behind in 2015 (right on the cusp of the women's revolution movement) and switched careers to become a real estate agent. Pro wrestling is in her rear view mirror, but she does look back on her achievements with pride.

"Wow, I did all that stuff" is how she described it.

Layla also added that she was didn't want to "age too much on TV". She was concerned about injuries too, and thought it was "realistic" to hang up her boots when she did. It's hardly insulting to suggest that Layla might've struggled to hang with the emerging generation of top female workers anyway.

She made the most of her career, but she was hardly Charlotte Flair, Bayley, Sasha Banks or Becky Lynch between the ropes.

It's good she has made peace with retirement.
