Former WWE Wrestler Lands New Booking Role
Inactive star makes major career move.
The wrestler formerly known as Damien Sandow is now serving as the head booker of Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.
This is the word of PWInsider's Mike Johnson, who reports that Aron Stevens' first CWFH TV shows were taped last night, though it looks like the former WWE Money In The Bank winner won't be appearing as a televised personality.
CWFH owner David Marquez was a prominent figure on NWA Powerrr prior to Billy Corgan's group halting content production when executive Dave Lagana was implicated in the #SpeakingOut movement. His promotion had served as an NWA territory until September 2012, with Marquez featuring on Powerrr as a broadcaster and interviewer, which may explain the Stevens connection.
Working a Z-list actor gimmick, Stevens was a pushed commodity on Powerrr and is still the reigning NWA North American Champion, having taken the belt from former title-holder Colt Cabana in December 2019. His last wrestling match went down at the NWA's January television tapings, where he and Question Mark lost to the Rock 'n' Roll Express.
There's no word on when Stevens might return to the ring, though it looks like he has found a steady new role at least.
