Former WWE Wrestler Reveals "Dropped" Feud With Seth Rollins
WWE initially planned to have this ex-Raw man rival Seth Rollins, but changed their minds.
Ex-WWE man Erick Redbeard (Rowan) has lifted the lid on the way his...quirky caged animal storyline was supposed to end several years ago.
Redbeard told the 'Wrestle Buddy' podcast that Seth Rollins was pencilled in to "accidentally" kill a giant rat that the then-Rowan had been carrying around in a cage. That would've led to a feud between the pair - this was something that Erick was particularly excited about, because he knew how high WWE creative were on Rollins.
It wasn't to be.
Seth turned heel before WWE could go ahead with their plans, and Rowan's big moment was squashed. Fittingly, Drew McIntyre then squashed the caged pet instead and everyone moved on. Erick eventually left the company in April 2020 and hasn't returned since.
Redbeard said he couldn't "get mad" at the fact that WWE were giving him so much TV time. However, he did grow frustrated when the writers refused to drum up fresh scenarios for him. Rowan squashed countless wrestlers when they tried to catch a glimpse inside the cage in a rinse and repeat segment on Raw.
